Sunday 28th May is our regular monthly working party at the WWA Reserve and if you can join us there is plenty to do.

The main jobs are the meadow area in the allotment (scything), the shady area, in particular cutting away some of the dogwood and digging out the smaller ones and removing brambles/nettles/hogweed.  Also, we will be removing some small plum trees in the area beside the allotment where they have self-seeded.  We are offering them for volunteers to take away if they want them for a garden or allotment (first come first served and please bring along a plastic bag).  There is bound to be cutting back pathways for anyone wanting something a bit less strenuous; foliage is growing at a frantic rate at the moment.
10-00 start, we provide gloves and tools and break around noon for a drink, cake and chat with other volunteers.  Please come along and if it is your first time find someone wearing a green top with heron logo and introduce yourself so that we can welcome you to our work party.
